What we do
We read the City of Austin's public HVAC permit records. For each home we find the most recent replacement permit. If that permit is 14–22 years old and nothing newer is on file, the home goes on the list.
That's the whole method. No guessing from roof photos and no buying lead lists.
What your shop gets
- A short list of addresses in the ZIP codes you serve
- For each address: the month and year of the last replacement permit, plus the permit number, so you can look it up yourself
- Systems aged about 14–22 years (free samples are picked at about 15–20)
- A plain list you can use for postcards, door hangers or neighborhood outreach
Just addresses and permit info. No homeowner names, phone numbers or personal details.
Free sample
Tell me which ZIP codes you work in and I'll send 3–5 addresses from public permit records, free. If it's useful, we can talk. If not, no hard feelings.
Honest limits
- This is an estimate based on permits. A 17-year-old permit doesn't mean the system is failing.
- If a replacement was done without a permit, we can't see it, so some homes may already have a newer unit.
- It's not a guarantee of a sale. It tells you which doors are worth knocking on first.
